Growing up, I was surrounded by stamps. I always enjoyed the idea of collecting, but I never got into the world of stamps, even with my father's persistence and having me work alongside him. I lost touch with it for a while, until I came across some silver certificates that really caught my eye. I fell in love with the 1899 $1 Silver Certificate, also known as the "Black Eagle."
